Lincoln Bucket Big Shots

March 28, 2008

Taylor ‘McCain Democrat’ Marsh:

Supporters of the first viable female candidate in U.S. history appreciate Clinton’s “Lunch Bucket” Big Shots for standing up to the DC Democrats’ darling, the Obama blogs, and the Teflon candidate who gets away with daily character assassinations, while talking out of the other side of his mouth about “another kind of politics.” Thanks to you all for taking a stand. Someone besides us had to.

Oh yeah, real working class folks:
From John Aravosis at Americablog:
It looks like some gifts just keep on giving. At least 6 of the 20 big Dem donors who are now threatening to exort Nancy Pelosi on behalf of Hillary slept in the Lincoln Bedroom while Bill and Hillary were in the White House. (We only have the list of who slept in the bedroom during four years, i.e., half, of the Clinton presidency. Some reporters need to ask the Clinton campaign if anyone else on this list slept in the Lincoln Bedroom.) You’ll recall that some 831 or so special friends of the Clintons got to stay in the Lincoln Bedroom during four years of the Clinton presidency (that’s about 4 a week, every week, for 4 years). You would think that this is the kind of bad publicity that Hillary’s little band of extortionists wouldn’t want. Well they’re going to get it. Here’s the list of big Dem donors who are now threatening the party if Pelosi doesn’t cave to their demands and help Hillary – the ones in bold [ed note: red]are Lincoln Bedroom guests, per CNN (CNN only has the list for 4 years):Marc Aronchick
Clarence Avant
Susie Tompkins Buell
Sim Farar (CNN says a “Sym” Farar stayed in the bedroom)
Robert L. Johnson
Chris Korge
Marc Lasry
Cathy Lasry
Hassan Nemazee
Alan Patricof
Susan Patricof

JB Pritzker
Amy Rao
Lynn de Rothschild
Haim Saban
Bernard Schwartz
Stanley S. Shuman
Jay Snyder
Maureen White
Steven Rattner

Stoller also notes that nearly half of the group donated to Lieberman’s Senate campaign.

Update: Cali-Tejano has a nice write up on this one too!

What’s That About Backlash?

March 28, 2008

Dakota:

I do think that at this point, though, the continuous attacks on Hillary are slowly starting to backfire. People have noticed the favored treatment BO has gotten, and it’s no longer true that his sh*t don’t stink.

UM:

From NBC’s Chuck Todd
As expected, one of the two major Democratic candidates saw a downturn in the latest NBC/WSJ poll, but it’s not the candidate that you think. Hillary Clinton is sporting the lowest personal ratings of the campaign. Moreover, her 37 percent positive rating is the lowest the NBC/WSJ poll has recorded since March 2001, two months after she was elected to the U.S. Senate from New York.

<snip>

As for the damage this controversy did or didn’t do to Obama, it’s a mixed bag. Yes, Obama saw some of his numbers go down slightly among certain voting groups, most notably Republicans. But he’s still much more competitive with independent voters when matched up against John McCain than Hillary Clinton is. And he still sports a net-positive personal rating of 49-32, which is down only slightly from two weeks ago, when it was 51-28. Again, the biggest shift in those negative numbers were among Republicans.

On one of the most critical questions we’ve been tracking for a few months, Obama showed resilience. When asked if the three presidential candidates could be successful in uniting the country if they were elected president, 60 percent of all voters believed Obama could be successful at doing this, 58 percent of all voters said McCain could unite the country while only 46 percent of voters said the same about Clinton. All three candidates saw dips on this issue, by the way. In January, 67 percent thought Obama could unite the country; 68 percent thought McCain could do it; and 55 percent said Clinton would be able to pull it off.

Conspiracy!

ainnj:

Maybe bo HAS done a bit more traveling than he would like us to know about…just a thought.

So, one wonders what is being implied here. One is reminded of Republican tactics. But of COURSE these are ALL honorable Democrats..

Honesty, Thy Name is Clinton

Pamawo:

Hillary is not going to always be perfect. I will not accept that she intentionally made this minor (in my opinion) error. I know, she has to be so careful because of the bias in the media. But, come on, so there were no bullets flying over her head, she still made the trip and was at risk.
Let’s give this great woman a break, no one else will!

Once again, we see a contradiction here. When Clinton makes an ‘error,’ it’s not intentional; when Obama makes an ‘error,’ its a conspiracy of vast proportions. Wow.

Taylor Defends the Press!

March 28, 2008

Taylor Marsh, reacting in her comments section to those who are angry at the media discussion of Clinton’s Bosnia trip:

With due respect, riverdaughter, I’ve written on swiftboating for years, including lengthy pieces on it. If you don’t remember the Patriot Project in 2004, it was ground zero for swiftboating, in which I was intensely involved. This isn’t swiftboating.

Additionally, no one is saying Clinton doesn’t have foreign policy experience, so there’s no need to get defensive.

Wolfson was reading from “Living History.”

Clinton misspoke about the event. It happens. It doesn’t mean it wasn’t a dangerous situation.

As for Clark, that has nothing to do with this situation. Of course it was dangerous, which is where Clinton should have ended it.

Credit where it is due; Taylor at last refuses to defend a Clinton ‘mistake.’

Piss on it

The lovely Sarana:

My neighbors have an Obama sign in their front yard and my border collie male goes right up to it and lifts his leg to pee. Just makes my day!

When did they start allowing 10 year olds to vote?

Slimeball

March 28, 2008

Sarana:

Right, Average Jane. As if Richardson endorsing Obama is going to bring us all together. YUCK! Just one slime ball endorsing another, as far as I’m concerned!

So, what is difficult for the TM Experience to understand is why these Clintonites continue to attack anyone and anything associated with Obama. Apparently, the only reason Richardson supports him is because they are both slimeballs? Way to maintain the support of Hispanic Democrats by accusing one of the leading Hispanic politicians of being a ‘slimeball’ for not supporting Clinton. Smooth.

Just wait…

NJDem:

I don’t think this will go on for that long likeH20, but at least a couple of days.

Why can’t another political sex scandal break out 🙂

Not to be crude, NJDem, but we ARE talking about the Clintons. Give it time. 🙂

Oh, What a Big Heart

March 28, 2008

Jangles, on Clinton ‘misremembering’ her Bosnia trip:

Ouch! O Hillary, what for art thou doing! Well, this supporter forgives you and just hopes this isn’t too hurtful because you have been doing so well.

Oh, naturally, because we know that Hillary would NEVER lie about something, but Obama is just a WEB of lies! Can you believe this hypocrisy?

Conspiracy Theories in Marsh Land

March 28, 2008

Our own commenter, TaylorMaid, shares with us this lovely bit from Taylor Marsh’s friends:

Remember–God is good, and is in time, on time–every time.

According to The Book of Revelations the anti-christ is:

The anti-christ will be a man, in his 40s, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal….the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, will destroy everything. Is it OBAMA?? (scroll to the bottom) wodiej

In case you all haven’t figured this out, most of the Huff posters are pajama bloggers — those that get paid per post. They come out from behind the woodwork in droves to spill their trash talk on Hillary. They are so predictable and pathetic. Every time I tried to post something against the pajama bloggers, my posts were censored, never accepted.

Those folks at HuffPo have a very nasty agenda, and that is to elect McCain president. Make no mistake. Sure they pretend to worship Obama, but it’s all because they know he is not electable — bottom line. They fear Hillary. Too bad for them. Hillary will be our next president whether they like it or not.

The American voters are no fools. They do not feed into all the garbage on the news channels. American voters are educated enough to see through what the MSM’s dirty intentions are.

So, how many different conspiracy theories can YOU find in these comments? MY favorite is the anti-Christ. 🙂
