Sisterdo of Taylor Marsh: Confused Idiot or Stupid Islamophobic Moron?

April 26, 2008

Sisterdo:

If Moyers did not ask…..Obama says he is a Christian, and you are a Christian. And yet your theology sounds like it has a crossover with Islam and Marxism. Is there any Marxism or Islam that is part of your theology, and if so how much of that faith does Obama share….then Bill Moyers is a propagandist.

And, of course, this lovely idiot has attended Trinity and is aware of Wright’s theology. What? She hasn’t? Oh. Then surely she is aware that Marxism and Islamism are COMPETING approaches to government, economics, and society? What? No, she isn’t? Oh. Then she is just spreading the meme that Obama is a Muslim in order to tar him with something that should in no way be negative. Considering that Marshians like Sisterdo are not interested in either truth or reality, it is to be expected.
Sorry for the tone. Sisterdo is just an idiot

Lies My Teacher Told Me

April 26, 2008

Sammie:

I watched most of the Bill Moyers interview, and it really hit me that Rev. Wright truly is out of touch. He said we are only taught good things about this country and not about the Trail of Tears or slavery.

However, kids are taught about these things today, they are taught about the government breaking treaties, they are taught about free states and slave states and the underground railroad etc.

Sammie needs to actually understand that we do NOT teach the flaws of America. Instead, it is one unbroken stream of progress. We are a great nation. We would be greater if we did a better job addressing our own past.
Here is James Loewen, from Lie My Teacher Told Me (from this compilation of book excerpts):

“[T]he teaching of history, more than any other discipline, is dominated by textbooks. And. . . textbooks are boring. The stories that history textbooks tell are predictable, every problem has already been solved or is about to be solved. Textbooks exclude conflict or real suspense. They leave out anything that might reflect badly upon national character.”–pg. 2

“Textbooks almost never use the present to illuminate the past. They might ask students to consider gender roles in contemporary society as a means of prompting students to think about what women did and did not achieve in the suffrage movement or in the more recent women’s movement. They might ask students to prepare household budgets for the families of a janitor and a stockbroker as a means of prompting thinking about labor unions and social classes in the past and present. They might, but they don’t. The present is not a source of information for writers of history textbooks.

Conversely, textbooks seldom use the past to illuminate the present. They portray the past as a simple-minded morality play. ‘Be a good citizen’ is the message that textbooks extract from the past. ‘You have a proud heritage. Be all that you can be. After all, look at what the United States has accomplished.’ While there is nothing wrong with optimism, it can become something of a burden for students of color, children of working-class parents, girls who notice a dearth of female historical figures, or members of any group that has not achieved socioeconomic success. The optimistic approach prevents any understanding of failure other than blaming the victim. No wonder children of color are alienated. Even for male children from affluent white families, bland optimism gets pretty boring after eight hundred pages.” –pg. 3

“Why are history textbooks so bad? Nationalism is one of the culprits.Textbooks are often muddled by conflicting desires to promote inquiry and to indoctrinate blind patriotism.”–pg. 3

Clinton as Christ

April 26, 2008

JB4Now makes the obvious connection. Clinton is, of course, Christ, and those who choose to not support her for one reason or another, well they should love Her,

But these GREEDY JUDASES, would rather turn their back on true friendship. Shame, Shame..

Pot, Meet Kettle

April 26, 2008

InkSlayer apparently is unable to see the complete and utter hypocrisy of the following statement:

I have never read a more hate filled anti Hillary piece of crap in my life. This Tom Hayden fool seems to think the Democrat Party only belongs to the MoveOn Daily WacKos crowd.

And so then, Inky my friend, who DOES the Party belong to? Clintonites and Marshians? Is anyone else allowed in your little club? Grow up. Oh, and this piece of unreality is brought to us by Inky’s reading of this Hayden article. Thanks for the read, Inky!

Legitimate Democrats

April 26, 2008

William rants:

No matter how this turns out, I would strongly reecommend that every Hillary supporter NEVER visit Kos, Huffpo or any of the pro-Obama sites again. Let’s see how they make do with one small segment of the Democratic Party as a reader and subscriber base. And I personally will never watch Olbermann again, or indeed any of the shows which feature a bunch of anti-Clinton pundits. I’ll miss following politics so closely, but I’ll get more fresh air, feel less stressed, and enjoy the ratings going down and the heads rolling. And I’ll spend my political time working for legitimate Democrats, not this bunch of corrupt elitists.

So, legitimate Democrats like former Republican voter Taylor Marsh? Or Larry Johnson? or one of the other lovely pro-Clinton/anti-Obama sites like Little Green Footballs, or the Corner, or Fox News? Good idea, William.
I love how we have all decided who gets to be a ‘legitimate’ Democrat. Who do you ostracize next?

‘It burns me up!’

April 26, 2008

JB4Now is a bit upset:

And they had an article, on there about one of Hillary’s major campaigner, Gabriel Guerra-Mondragon, has been brought by Obama, he claims it was a hard decision, but he don’t believes, Hillary, can win so he’s going over to Obama’s side.

What gives, and why, aren’t all of Hillary’s people loyal to her, that just burns me up!!!!!!!

Could it be because, you know, this guy wants to do what is best to the party and the country, and no one is owed loyalty just because of who they are? This isn’t a monarchy, Marshian.

Unbiased Media

April 26, 2008

Bet605, completly oblivious to reality:

On the Hannity show Hucklebee stated that Hamas thinks Obama should be our next president. He said we then should think Hmmm maybe there is a reason we shouldn’t pick Obama? It is too bad that the other network shows cannot be as supportive against Obama.

And, hmmm, what will this lovely Marshian say when THE EXACT SAME THING is said about Clinton when Hamas come out in favor of the Democrat in the general? Of course he/she will find the media accurate and unbiased.

So stupid.

The Grassy Knoll

April 26, 2008

Lilscot channels conspiracy:

Many have said that they feel the choice has already been made by the DNC and that they are just humouring us until they come out and announce Obama as the candidate.

I don’t believe that for one minute. If that was the case they would have done that by now. They wouldn’t wait until she started getting back up off the floor as she has done. If they were so confident that Hillary wasn’t the best choice they would have tried to force her out before Ohio.

They just didn’t plan on her continuing to win big. I actually don’t think they are biding their time in order to nominate Obama. I think they are biding their time in order to nominate Hillary but they are having to do it in a slow methodical way.

It’s taken them quite some time to lay out their little scheme, and it will take some time to unravel it. If they do it too quickly they know they will cause Obama and his ding-a-lings to commit publc discord and possibly violence.

Oh my. So the DNC now wants HILLARY to win, and they are just humoring Obama and his supporters now to avoid violence? Because, I guess, you know, those ‘people’ of his, pretty violent folks.
And these Marshians say that it is Obama supporters who are delusional?

Delayed Again, naturally

April 24, 2008

It’s exam time, and unforunately this means that Wednesday’s usual post was delayed. Expect a lovely stroll through Marsh land this weekend!
