Taylor Marsh Exposed

April 3, 2008

We would be remiss if we did not bring a wonderful post from an interesting blog pointed to by our friend CaliTejano. It’s all about Taylor Marsh! Here’s a bit of it, by the wonderfully named John Brown of Kansas:

If I wanted to Taylor Marsh myself, I could be the next big thing at HuffPo. Yeah, I’d have to cut out a lot of the “fuck” and “shit” you find here. I’d need a proofreader, too. I’d have to sacrifice anonymity and just go nuts with it… That’d be tough…

But if I was willing to be as brazen and audacious as Taylor Marsh, I’d be big time.

Maybe I’ll do that. Maybe I’ll make this blog disappear, buy a new domain, put together a hot looking site with a few glossies of me, write a check to Author House, upload a few “radio shows”, shine up my resume and go Big Time.

Maybe not.

Taylor, if you’re reading this…

Your punditry sucks ass, but you’re one helluva self-promoter. Use your powers for good instead of evil and you might just have a fan in John Brown.

I suppose the other Marsh lesson is even more important. If you’re listening to someone and taking them seriously, you might want to make sure they’re worth taking seriously. Am I? Is she? It’s worth some thought.

READ THE WHOLE THING!

Dropping a Knowledge Bomb!

April 3, 2008

Hill08, not actually grasping history, needs a knowledge bomb!:

Zogby — is an Obama Super Delegate. Does it get more incestuous then this? I don’t trust him or his polls. Meanwhile we have economic problems which are serious enough to cause a Depression. Hillary Clinton is another Roosevelt — Obama is another Hoover. Screw him and his pastor, his hate filled wife and his total ignorance of history. Obama seems to hate all of us who will not vote for him. So we can expect nothing from him but more preening in front of a mirror. The worst thing about Obama is that HE WON’T DO ANYTHING FOR THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY. HE DOESN’T GIVE A CHIT. Obama just wants the presidential perks and the power.

Wow, this comment is full of so much wrong it could be packaged and marketed as ‘Taylor Marsh Commenter Brand Ignorance: Now With 50% MORE Ignorance!’ Let us address each point:

1. John Zogby is the pollster. His brother James Zogby is the Obama superdelegate.

2. Franklin Delano Roosevelt, liberal Democratic icon that he is, did NOT end the Depression. That is a common myth of American History texts, and one that I refuse to teach. Most economists and historians credit WWII mobilization for ending the Depression, for what should be obvious reasons (redirection of industry, the un/underemployed men got drafted!). Is Hill08 saying Hillary will be involved in a World War? (/emrolleyes) In fact, unemployment jumped during his administration, after dropping briefly!

3. Obama cannot be Herbert Hoover. That would imply he was, you know, already President. A hopeful thought, but wrong. And, by the way, you could do a whole lot worse than being like Herbert Hoover!

4. Clinton supporters seem to hate Obama, rather than the other way around.

5. And you know that ‘Obama won’t do anything for this country’ how? His platform is barely distinguishable from Clinton’s!

And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is Your Knowledge Bomb of the Day.

A Marshian Ignoring the Truth? Never!

April 3, 2008

Jawbone, who apparently can’t handle the truth:

I clicked off after Schuster said something about records showing Hillary had no role in passage of the Family Medical Leave Act.

Huh?

Need help, Jawbone?

The former congressman who shepherded the Family and Medical Leave Act through Congress sought Thursday to debunk Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s (D-N.Y.) claim to the legislation, saying she “never had anything to do with it.”

Former Rep. William Lacy Clay, Sr. (D-Mo.) is circulating an email disputing Clinton’s claim that the law is one of her more meaningful domestic accomplishments. The presidential candidate says she helped lobby for the bill’s passage and signing in 1993.

But Clay, who was joined by Senate sponsor Christopher Dodd (D-Conn.), said the bill had already passed by large margins when it passed in 1990 and 1992 before it was vetoed on both occasions by former President George H.W. Bush.

“All we needed was a president to sign it,” Clay said. “The president signed it, and we’re grateful for that but there was no lobbying by him or her.”

The Hill has obtained a copy of the Clay email rejecting Clinton’s claims to have been instrumental in bill’s becoming law. The former congressman writes, “If Hillary played a role in its passage, it was without my knowledge.”

Boy, these folks are in for a rude awakening.

A Funhouse Mirror

April 3, 2008

Bluesky holds up a mirror to his/her fellow Marshians and Clintonites. Must be a funhouse mirror!

Our Side:

A large crowd of calm, cool, and collected people standing together, and standing strong all with a look of dismay on their faces. Some scratching their heads, some snickering, all with raised eyebrows. And behind us are Hillary, Bill and Chelsea taking it to the people, talking about the issues, and holding large rallies of happy cheering Americans.

Bluesky, have you READ Talkleft or Taylor Marsh or your fellow Marshians??? Wow.

Here is the REAL Image that Bluesky sees:

Hmm..Hadn’t realized that Clintonites spoke a Swiss tongue. How odd!

Fabulous!

April 3, 2008

Taylor Marsh:

The great thing about the bowling April Fools joke from Clinton is that it shows her wit, as well as just how fabulous she is.

Wow. Does Taylor really believe what she writes? How is this any different than the ‘Obama Cult’ she so often criticizes?

Blue Collar Clinton

April 3, 2008

Cognitive Dissonance, apparently not understanding what ‘blue collar’ means:

hunkerdown, I loved that speech you linked to. And it again underscores why blue collar folks prefer Clinton to Obama. She knows what they (we) need.

Oh, I’m sure. Because you know, Hillary and Bill really know what it is like to have to get by on between 10 and 50 million bucks a year.
And Obama? He and his wife really are worth about 1 million bucks. Not chump change….but a whole lot closer to blue collar than the Clintons.

(Incidentally, check the incredible HYPOCRISY of the Clinton campaign in that last link:

“I am pleased that Senator Obama has released his tax returns.  I think that’s a good first step.  Now he should release his records from being in the state senate and any other information that the public and the press need to know from his prior experience, because I think that, you know, we should continue to make available the information that we have,” she said in a press conference.

OMG. You really just have to

Time to Leave (Important to No One But Your BlogHost)

April 3, 2008

Grey:

The American Federation of Teachers is up in PA with a $325,000 radio ad buy for Sen. Clinton.

Guess it is time for bostondreams to leave that union. Just saying.

Taylor Marsh Fans 8> Bill O’ and Sean Hannity

April 3, 2008

OHvoter, as others of his/her ilk do, prove his/her Democratic bonfides, suggesting this approach to Randi Rhodes’ shall we say, unfortunate, comments concerning Clinton (which, by the way, were NO WORSE than what these ‘Democrats’ spit out on Marsh’s site about Obama daily):

I don’t know if this has been suggested, but I think we should send the link to this video to O’Reilly and Hannity. This would be right up their ally. What do you think?

We here at the TM Experience want to say again how nice it is that Clintonites are fans of Hannity and O’Reilly. We are sure that this fandom will continue as Hannity and O’Reilly discuss Whitewater, the Clinton Library, Clinton in Bosnia, and so on if Clinton wins the nomination.

Marshian Confusion

April 3, 2008

So, Taylor, in her infinite, Reagan Democrat wisdom (which obviously has served her sooo well), says that Obama is too liberal to win the general election.

And of course this confuses her commenters:

hunkerdown says (quoting from a Rolling Stone piece),
since he arrived in the Senate, many of those who hoped Obama would become a great liberal champion have been disappointed. He has voted with conservatives on tort reform and industry-friendly provisions in the bankruptcy bill, and the troop-pullout bill he introduced in January was a late and unremarkable entry in the debate over Iraq.

So, we here at the TM Experience are confused. Either Barack is an icky uber liberal and can’t win the GE and so does not deserve the nod, or he is a closet conservative and DINO and does not deserve the nod. Which is it?

‘I Didn’t Inhale’

April 3, 2008

nomas:

BO’s inexperience, the gift that keeps on giving. He made an audio recording of his books so that people “can now hear Obama boast about taking drugs “enthusiastically” and putting down “white folks” in his own voice.”

It is really nice to see someone really supporting honesty in a politician. What, nomas, you rather that Obama be like Bill? I mean, c’mon. Really.
And if Obama was ‘boasting’ about taking drugs, then nomas needs reading comprehension lessons.
